Getting the Call Stack
If you receive an error in Business Central or 3PL Dynamics, including the call stack in your ticket helps support resolve your issue faster. Here’s how to get it in different situations:
How to Get the Call Stack
Standard Error Message:
- Click 'Share details' on the error message.
- Select 'Copy error details'.
- Paste the copied details into your ticket.
Scanner Errors:
- Go to the 'Scan Sessions' page in Business Central.
- Find the relevant user and time.
- Click 'View Call Stack' to see and copy the error details.
Job Queue Log Entries, DI Entries, Status Event Entries:
- Open the relevant log or entry list.
- Click 'Show Error' or 'Show Error Call Stack'.
- Use 'Share details' > 'Copy error details' if available.
Last Known Error:
- Click the question mark icon (Help) in Business Central.
- Go to 'Help & Support'.
- Click 'View the last known error' and copy the details.
