Excel Import File Format

Excel import file formats help you to import data extracted from your customer's ERP systems by providing a structured and standardized way to transfer data into Busniess Central. With Excel Import File Format you can define templates, saving time, reducing manual effort and prevent errors with the manual entry of data.

The Excel Import File Format supports the import of Shipment Data, including milestones and events, equipment information, good lines and its dimensions.

Import application Update Equiment Details

With this method Equipment details can be updated such as the Equipment Identification No., Seal no.'s and Verifified Gross Mass details, as well as the Gross weight and No. of Outer packages, which will update the assignment of the goods to the containers.

Note

The assignment is supported when the shipment has exactly one Goods line.

To import data with Excel File Format

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature. icon that opens the Tell Me feature, enter Request for Quotation or Shipment (FMS), and then choose the related link.

  2. Choose the Import from Excel option.

  3. You can now drop a file on the upload Window that apears.

  4. If more than one Excel Import File Format has been configured, you can now select the Excel Import File Format from the available options.

  5. The documents will now be created.
