Voyage

Functionality

A voyage represents a specific journey undertaken by a vessel.The voyage provides the essential information about the voyage, including the internal and external numbers, the mode of transport, and the carrier.

Voyage

Voyage Call Represents all the calls in the voyage.
Voyage Schedule Represent all the schedules in the voyage. On a Shipment or Section you can select a Voyage schedule.

Voyage calls and Voyage Schedules

The voyage calls linked to the voyage specify the port of call. On the voyage call the following details can be specified:

  • Port, Type of location and address which specifies a terminal or (consolidation) warehouse.
  • Arrival: The Estimated, Updated and Actual Date/time, Type of location and addres
  • Departurre: The Estimated, Updated and Actual Date/time, **Type of location and addres.

From the voyage call you can generate the Voyage schedules.

Example: a Voyage that calls the ports of Rotterman (NLRTM), Hambur (DEHAM), Oslo (NOOSL).

When you create the voyage schedules from call NLRTM the system will generate the Schedule lines for all the subsequent calls:

NLRTM-DEHAM
NLRTM-NOOSL
DEHAM-NOOSL

Working with voyages and updates

When you update the updated or actual departure or arrival date/time, the system will also update the Events and Milestones on the related Shipments and/or Sections.
