WMS Job Queue Functions

CLEANUP PICK LOC

This function cleans up pick locations using report 11154666.

Parameters
  • FILTERPERIOD: Text - Period filter.
  • LOCATIONTYPEFILTER: Integer - Location type (0=Default; 1=Dynamic; 2=Both).
  • SHOWMULTIPLECARRIERS: Boolean - Show multiple carriers.

BLIND REPLENISHMENT

This function calculates blind replenishment.

Parameters
  • WHSEJNLBATCH: Code - Warehouse journal batch name.
  • PERCENTAGE: Integer - Percentage to replenish, 0=based on minimum.
  • CREATE WHSE. ACT.: Integer - Create warehouse activities (0=No; 1=Create; 2=Create+Print).
  • CUST.ITEM FILTER: Text - Customer item filter.
  • CARR.CONTENT FILTER: Text - Carrier content filter.
  • METHOD: Integer - Method: 0=Max. Qty/Carriers; 1=Free Space.

EXEC. JOB QUEUE TASK

This function executes a job queue task.

Parameters
  • CODEUNIT: Integer - Job Queue Codeunit No. (if empty it takes the default).
  • JOB QUEUE TASK ID: Integer - Job Queue Task No. (e.g. 2=Print Documents; 17=DI Create Messages; 18=DI Process Messages; etc.).
  • FUNCTION SET: Integer - Execute this function set.
  • INTERVAL: Integer - Wait this time (milliseconds) between tasks.
  • DURATION: Integer - Execute until this time (milliseconds) has passed.

CREATE GRPD SO.-SHPT

This function creates grouped sales order shipments.

Parameters
  • GROUPING CRITERIA: Code - Grouping criteria filter.

CREATE GRPD PO.-RCPT

This function creates grouped purchase order receipts.

Parameters
  • GROUPING CRITERIA: Code - Grouping criteria filter.

DI PROCESS MSG

This function processes DI messages.

Parameters
  • CODEFILTER: Text - Optional: code filter.

COPY_DATAHUB_PROD

This function copies DataHub PROD (Azure Functions).

Parameters
  • FROM_ENVIRONMENT: Text - Mandatory: PROD, RAPP, TEST or SAND.
  • TO_ENVIRONMENT: Text - Mandatory: PROD, RAPP, TEST or SAND.

EXPORT_CAPTIONS_DB

This function exports all NAV captions to the Dictionary database AllCaptions table.

Parameters
  • TABLE_NAME: Text - Mandatory: AllCaptions.
  • TEMP_DIRECTORY: Text - Mandatory: For example H:\TEMP.

CREATE_REMINDERS

This function creates reminders.

Parameters
  • DOCUMENTDATE: DateFormula - Date formula based on WORKDATE.
  • POSTINGDATE: DateFormula - Date formula based on WORKDATE.
  • OVERDUEENTRIES: Boolean - Optional: Default is TRUE.
  • USEHEADERLEVEL: Boolean - Optional: Default is FALSE.
  • INCLUDEENTRIES: Boolean - Optional: Default is FALSE.

CHANGE STATUS

This function changes the status.

Parameters
  • CARRIERCONTENTFILTER: Text - Table filter for carrier content.
  • CYCLECOUNTING METHOD: Code - Cycle counting method.
  • ALWAYS CREATE: Boolean - Always create cycle counting task.
  • FILTER ON CYC METHOD: Boolean - Filter on cycle counting method when checking if the location item is counted.

PROCESS DI BATCH MSG

This function processes DI batch messages.

Parameters
  • BATCH MESSAGE CODE: Code - Process batch messages with this code.
  • MIN NO. OF RECORDS: Integer - Process only when this minimum number of source records is met.

SET OPTIMIZATION

This function executes set optimization.

Parameters
  • MODULE FILTER: Text - Optional: execute modules within this filter.
  • YIELD AFTER: Duration - Yield after this duration.

POST CYC TASKS

This function posts cycle counting tasks.

Parameters
  • TABLE FILTER: Text - Check only documents matching this filter.
  • Method: Integer - 0=Move to Posted 1=Finish Task + Move to Posted.
  • AUTO POST: Boolean - Auto post CYC item journal line.
  • ITEM JNL TEMPLATE: Code - Item journal template.
  • ITEM JNL BATCH: Code - Item journal batch.
  • REASON CODE: Code - Reason code.

UPDATEINVOICETYPE

This function updates the invoice type for carrier content based on agreement detail lines from-to period days.

Parameters
  • CUSTFILTER: Text - Customer filter.
  • BILLTOCUSTNOFIELDNO: Integer - Bill-to customer no. field no.
  • ITEM JNL BATCH: Code - Item journal batch.
  • ITEM JNL TEMPLATE: Code - Item journal template.

CREATECYCPER ITEMLOC

This function creates cycle counting tasks per item/location.

Parameters
  • CARRIERCONTENTFILTER: Text - Table filter for carrier content.
  • CYCLECOUNTING METHOD: Code - Cycle counting method.
  • ALWAYS CREATE: Boolean - Always create cycle counting task.
  • FILTER ON CYC METHOD: Boolean - Filter on cycle counting method when checking if the location item is counted.

UPDATE ACT. PRIORITY

This function sets the priority of warehouse activities whose from-location is full or nearly full, so that the carriers are moved away from that location first. For every from-location of the activities within the filter it compares the number of carriers currently on the location with the Maximum No. of Carriers of the location multiplied by PERCENTAGE. When the location has reached that threshold, all activities within the filter with that from-location get NEW PRIORITY. Activities that already have that priority are left untouched.

Parameters
  • WHSE.ACT. FILTER: Text - Table filter on Whse. Activity; only update whse. activities within this filter. Mandatory.
  • PERCENTAGE: Integer - Percentage of the maximum no. of carriers on the from-location from which the priority is updated. Default 100; must be greater than zero.
  • NEW PRIORITY: Integer - Priority to set on the whse. activities of a from-location that reaches the threshold. 0 is allowed.

Notes:

  • The number of carriers on the location is counted when the function runs.
  • Locations without a Maximum No. of Carriers and activities without a from-location are skipped.
  • The comparison is "greater than or equal": with a maximum of 4 carriers and PERCENTAGE 75, a location with 3 carriers qualifies.
  • An empty WHSE.ACT. FILTER or a PERCENTAGE of 0 or less stops the function with an error before any activity is changed.
  • Updated activities get a new Modified Date/Time.

REPLENISHMT PRIORITY

This function updates the Priority and, optionally, the Sorting Order of open replenishment activities based on the current stock of the customer item on the pick location (the To Location No. of the activity) and the quantity that is still open on transfer documents. For every warehouse activity within the filter it reads the Pick Locations line of the customer item on that location: Inventory is the current quantity and Minimum Inventory the threshold. When the pick location is empty or below its minimum, the function sums the Remaining Quantity of the transfer document lines of that customer item (in the unit of measure of the pick location line) per status group and applies the first matching rule below.

Parameters

  • PRIOEMPTYRELEASED: Decimal - Priority when the pick location is empty and transfer quantity is Released.
  • PRIOEMPTYCREATED: Decimal - Priority when the pick location is empty and transfer quantity is Created.
  • PRIOBELOWMININPROGR: Decimal - Priority when the pick location is below minimum and transfer quantity is In Progress.
  • PRIOBELOWMINRELEASED: Decimal - Priority when the pick location is below minimum and transfer quantity is Released.
  • PRIOBELOWMINCREATED: Decimal - Priority when the pick location is below minimum and transfer quantity is Created.

Notes:

  • The three status filters are filter expressions on the Status of the transfer document, so one group can hold several statuses (for example RELEASED|PARTLY). An empty status filter gives an open quantity of 0 for that group. The groups are checked in the order In Progress, Released, Created; the first group with an open quantity decides the priority.
  • The open transfer quantity is the sum of Remaining Quantity of all transfer document lines of type customer item for that customer item and unit of measure whose document status is within the filter, regardless of the to-location of those lines.
  • Activities without a Pick Locations line for the customer item on the to-location, and activities whose pick location holds at least its Minimum Inventory, are left unchanged. When the customer item has several pick location lines on the same location, the Default line is used.
  • A pick location counts as empty when its inventory is 0 or less, also when Minimum Inventory is 0. An empty or below-minimum pick location without open transfer quantity in any group is left unchanged.
  • Priority and Sorting Order are whole numbers; decimal priority parameters and calculated sorting orders are rounded to the nearest whole number.
  • Only activities whose priority or sorting order actually changes are modified and get a new Modified Date/Time. When SETSORTINGBYQUANTITY is No, the sorting order is never touched.
  • Inventory and open transfer quantities are read once per run and reused for every activity with the same customer item and location.
  • An empty WHSEACTTABLEFILTER stops the function with an error before any activity is changed.
