WMS Document Line FactBox - User Guide

Overview

The WMS Document Line FactBox displays detailed information about the selected warehouse document line. This factbox appears as a side panel when viewing warehouse documents and provides real-time inventory availability, quantities, and line-specific details.

Note: When the Reporting Unit of Measure is different from the Base Unit of Measure, all quantity fields are displayed in the Reporting Unit of Measure.

General Information Section

Type

  • What it shows: The type of the document line
  • Drill-down: None

No.

  • What it shows: The number/identifier of the item, service, carrier, package, etc.
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens the appropriate card page based on the type:
    • Customer Item → Customer Item Card
    • Service/Cost → Service Card
    • Carrier → Carrier Card
    • Item → Item Card
    • Package → Package Card

External No.

  • What it shows: External reference number for the item
  • Drill-down: None

EAN Code

  • What it shows: The European Article Number (barcode) for the item
  • Calculation: Retrieved from background task
  • Drill-down: None

Unit of Measure Code

  • What it shows: The unit of measure used for this line
  • Drill-down: None

Status

  • What it shows: Current status of the customer item
  • Calculation: Retrieved from background task
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens the Document Status Log for the customer item

Expected Shipment Carrier Qty.

  • What it shows: Expected quantity for shipment carriers
  • Visibility: Only visible when Document Type = Shipment
  • Drill-down: None

Batch No.

  • What it shows: Batch number associated with the line
  • Visibility: Only visible when a batch number exists
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens the WMS Batch Card

External Batch No.

  • What it shows: External batch number reference
  • Visibility: Only visible when an external batch number exists
  • Drill-down: None

Availability Section

Available

  • What it shows: Quantity currently available for use
  • Calculation: Quantity in Storage - Outstanding in Shipment - Outstanding in VAL Material - Blocked Quantity
  • Visual Indicator:
    • 🟢 Green (Favorable) when quantity ≥ 0
    • 🔴 Red (Unfavorable) when quantity < 0
  • Drill-down: None

Unallocated

  • What it shows: Quantity available for allocation to new warehouse activities
  • Calculation: Quantity in Storage - Assigned Quantity - Blocked Quantity
  • Visual Indicator:
    • 🟢 Green (Favorable) when quantity ≥ 0
    • 🔴 Red (Unfavorable) when quantity < 0
  • Drill-down: None

Blocked

  • What it shows: Quantity that is blocked and cannot be used
  • Calculation: Sum of Quantity (Base) on Carrier Content where inventory is blocked
  • Visual Indicator: 🔴 Red (Unfavorable) when quantity > 0
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens detailed blocked quantity breakdown

In Storage

  • What it shows: Total quantity physically present in the warehouse
  • Calculation: Sum of Quantity (Base) on all Carrier Content records
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens WMS Carrier Content page filtered for this item

Assigned

  • What it shows: Quantity currently assigned to warehouse activities and detail lines
  • Calculation: Retrieved from background task
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Shows assigned quantities grouped by document number

Outstanding in Receipt

  • What it shows: Quantity still expected to be received
  • Calculation: Sum of Quantity (Base) on Document Lines with Document Type = Receipt
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens WMS Document Lines filtered for Receipt documents

Outstanding in Shipment

  • What it shows: Quantity still to be shipped
  • Calculation: Sum of Quantity (Base) on Document Lines with Document Type = Shipment
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens WMS Document Lines filtered for Shipment documents

Qty. in Material

  • What it shows: Quantity in VAL Order Material processes
  • Calculation: Sum of Expected Quantity (Base) on Document Process Lines for VAL Orders with Process Type = Material
  • Visibility: Currently hidden (Visible = false)
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens WMS Document Process Lines filtered for VAL Order Material

Qty. in Transfer

  • What it shows: Quantity currently in transfer between locations
  • Calculation: Sum of Quantity (Base) on Document Lines with Document Type = Transfer (where quantity > 0)
  • Drill-down: ✅ Yes - Opens WMS Document Lines filtered for Transfer documents

Document Section

Status

  • What it shows: Status of the document header
  • Drill-down: None

Customer Item Actions

  • Item Ledger Entries (Ctrl+F7) → WMS Item Ledger Entries
  • Batch Content → WMS Batch Content List
  • Carrier Content → WMS Carrier Content
  • Inventory per Location → Location inventory summary
  • Pick Locations → WMS Location Content
  • Units of Measure → WMS Units of Measure
  • Service Agreement → WMS Service Agreement (currently hidden)
  • Mapping → WMS Mapping

Technical Notes

Data Refresh

Quantity calculations are automatically refreshed when:

  • You select a different document line
  • Background task completes
  • Related data changes

Visual Indicators

  • 🟢 Green/Favorable: Positive quantities, good status
  • 🔴 Red/Unfavorable: Negative quantities, blocked items, issues requiring attention
  • ⚪ None: Neutral status
