Batchmanagement - Dates
3PL Dynamics support different date-scenario's on Batch Level. On Batch-Level the following dates are supported: Production Date(Time), Receipt Date, Freezing Date, Expiration Date, Shelf Date. In an Order/Shipment these dates can be registered as Selection Criteria and are taken in account during the Allocation process.
Production Date(time)
Date of Production of the Batch. Production date can automatically be calculated based on the Receipt Date, use the field Production Date calculation on the Customer Item Card. With the setting Production Date mandatory you can make the Production Date mandatory during the Receipt.
Receipt Date
Date of receiving the goods at the Warehouse. Is important for calculation of StorageCharge and FIFO.
Expiration Date
An expiration date or expiry date is a previously determined date after which something should no longer be used, either by operation of law. The Expiration Date can be filled in manually per Receipt-line, via EDI/API or automatically be calculated based on the Production or Receipt Date. 3PL Dynamics support the process of Synchronous Expiration Date during Receipt and also during Delivery (per address)
Freezing Date
Date of Freezing of the Batch, mostly filled in after Shockfreeze VAL procedure. Based on the Freezing Date you can charge services.
Shelf Life
Shelf life is the amount of time that a product can be stored until it can no longer be shipped (to a certain address). The Shelf Life can be registered on the Customer Item Card, or on a combination of the Customer Item versus the (delivery) Address.
