Inventory Filters and Restrictions

Overview of Handling Unit Content Filtering

The WMS system provides powerful filtering capabilities for handling unit content, allowing warehouse operators to quickly locate and manage inventory across the facility. These filters help streamline operations by narrowing down search results to only the most relevant handling units based on their contents.

When working with warehouse operations, the system automatically applies filters to show only relevant carrier content. This document explains the main filters applied and how they affect your search results.

  • Carrier Number - Filters by specific carrier/pallet number

Usage Tips

  1. More Specific = Fewer Results: Adding more filter criteria will narrow your results
  2. Building Filter Impact: Building availability restrictions automatically apply
  3. Order Type Matters: Some filters (like customs) are affected by the order type
  4. Selection Criteria Sets: Pre-configured filter combinations may be applied

Common Filter Combinations

  • For shipments: Customer item + batch + expiration date
  • For transfers: Customer item + building + zone type

Note: Actual filters applied may vary based on document type, order type, and system configuration. Contact your system administrator for specific filter configurations in your environment.
