Pick Locations

Pick locations configuration helps you define where items are stored and picked from in your warehouse. This page explains the basics of setting up pick locations for customer items.

Accessing Pick Locations Configuration

To configure pick locations for customer items:

  1. Navigate to Customer Item: Go to a specific customer item (either from the customer item list or open a customer item card)
  2. Click 'Pick Locations': Use the Pick Locations action button in the action bar
  3. Configure Settings: Set up the pick location parameters as needed

Basic Configuration

Main Fields

  • Building Code: Which building contains this location
  • Zone Code: The zone within the building (must be a "Pick" zone)
  • Location No.: The specific location number where items are stored
  • Default: Whether this is the primary pick location for this item

Inventory Management

  • Minimum Inventory: Lowest acceptable stock level - triggers replenishment alerts
  • Maximum Inventory: Highest recommended stock level - helps prevent overstocking
  • Inventory: Current stock level at this location (automatically calculated)

Multiple Pick Locations

You can specify multiple pick locations for the same customer item:

  • Set up different locations in different buildings or zones
  • Mark one location as Default for automatic selection
  • Use Location Ranking to prioritize which locations are used first

Inventory Control

  • Minimum Inventory: Set this to trigger replenishment when stock gets low
  • Maximum Inventory: Helps prevent overstocking at pick locations
  • The system automatically tracks current inventory levels

Default Location

  • Mark one location as Default per customer item
  • The system will prefer this location when picking orders
  • Only one default location can be set per item
