Selection Criteria
Selection criteria can be used to specify the carrier selection for outbound goods. For example, the criteria might specify using the building code from the document line as a filter to search for matching storage during the allocation process.
Create and apply Selection Criteria
- Navigate to the Selection Criteria page.
- Click New to create a new Selection Criteria and name it.
- To define the selection criteria you just created, fill in the Criteria Set.
- When creating the Criteria Set define the table no, filter fields, and specify the filter values. By default, table ID 11154684 (Handling Unit Content) is used, but you can also use table ID 11154685 (Batch Content).
Tip
When creating filters for the Criteria Set in your Selection Criteria, use %1 to pull the value from the document line where the selection criteria is applied. For example, when the external batch number is entered on the document line and must be considered as a filter for selecting the storage, you create the selection criteria with External Batch No as the filter field and use %1 as the filter value.
- Finally, link the selection criteria to the customer items where applicable on the customer item card. Set Shipment Availability to Selection Criteria. Then, specify the selection criteria code you want to apply in Shipment Selection Criteria and VAL Selection Criteria. Additionally, selection criteria apply not only to document lines but also to document process lines within VAL Orders, for both input and output process lines. When you enter the customer item number on the document line, the associated selection criteria will automatically be filled.
Note
Use status function 11154680 - 170 to apply selection criteria to specific document lines or process lines based on conditional requirements.
