TelnetServer Installation

The TelNet server will be installed on a local server in the customer network. This software (PragmaSys) is used for RF scanning

Server Requirements

Minimum Hardware Requirements

  • 2 vCores 2.0 GHz
  • Memory 8 GB
  • Disk space per (virtual)drive:
    • 25 GB (free space)

Minimum Software Requirements

  • Windows Server 2016 / 2019 Standard or DataCenter;
  • Powershell 5.1

Accounts

  • Local or Active Directory User Account
Note
  • We will change the password during the installation.
  • The account should be set to: Never expires and all without a password-policy.
  • Boltrics should be local administrator on the server

Remote Control

Boltrics needs a remote control to the TelNet server. Please see Remote Control

Setup Telnet proxy V2

Within the installation folder (default path: C:\Program Files\Boltrics\TelnetProxy-V2), there is a file called Admin.cmd. You can run this file as an administrator to execute the following actions:

  1. Setup / Update Azure Active Directory: This option is for setting up an App Registration for authentication in Azure. When selected, a login pop-up will appear. Please use an Azure Global Admin account to proceed.
  2. Setup Business Central: This option is for configuring the App Registration created in step 1 to allow connections to Business Central. A login pop-up will appear, and you will need a Business Central account with super permissions to complete this step.
  3. Register Protocol Handler: This option is not needed.
  4. Refresh App Secret: The secret in the App Registration created in step 1 is valid for 730 days. If you receive a message in the scanner prompting you to update the secret, choose this option. You will need to log in as a Global Admin.
  5. Show Current Configuration and Status: This option displays the current configuration and status.
