General

A contact can either be a company or a person. Person contacts are linked to a company.

When creating a new customer or supplier a company contact is created automatically based on settings.

In the transportation industry, a company can be both a customer as well as a vendor . Because of the functionality within Boltrics, only one company contact will created. In case of a change in the name and/or address this will be automatically implemented everywhere.

Functionality

Recording the contact correctly is important because contacts are frequently used in the e-mail functionality in Boltrics.

Through Actions>Functions the Create as or Linked with excisting option can be chosen to link contacts to new or existing customers/suppliers.
