Update carrier dimensions - Code: UPD. CARR DIMENSION

General

This page describes the UPD. CARR DIMENSION function of the TMS Irreg Resolution Functions function set. Use it in a step on an irregularity to correct the dimensions of the carrier (handling unit) that's linked to the irregularity, for example when a carrier turns out to be larger or heavier than planned.

The function compares the following values of the carrier with the deviating values that were registered: length, width, height, gross weight, net weight, and volume weight. For the values you accept, it does the following:

  1. Updates the carrier on the section.
  2. Updates the same carrier on the order, if it exists.
  3. Recalculates the quantity and weights of the document line.
  4. Marks the registered deviations as ready.
  5. Optionally updates the status of the irregularity.

The function stops with an error when no carrier is linked to the irregularity.

Choose which values to accept

Use DEFAULT ANSWER to decide how TMS handles the deviating values:

Value What happens
0 (user choice) TMS shows the deviations. You mark which new values to accept and confirm. If you cancel or don't confirm, no values change.
1 (new) TMS accepts all new values without asking.
2 (old) TMS keeps all current values. The deviations are still marked as ready.
