Event milestone template

Use an event milestone template to group the events and milestones that apply to a type of order. Instead of adding events and milestones to each order, you link a template to an order type. TMS then applies the events and milestones of the template to every order of that order type.

Create a template per type of service when the events and milestones that you communicate differ, for example one template for full truck load with ETA milestones and one for groupage without.

Set up an event milestone template

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature. icon, enter Event Milestone Template List, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose New, and then enter a Code and a Description.
  3. Select the Application Area.
  4. Choose the link to edit the template. On the Event Milestone Edit Template page, add the events and milestones that belong to the template. For each line you can set the field type, the sorting order, the usage, and the assignment.
  5. Open the order type and select the template in the field Event Milestone Template.
