Create retry order for section - Code: CREATE RETRY SECTION
General
This page describes the CREATE RETRY SECTION function of the TMS Irreg Resolution Functions function set. Use it in a step on an irregularity to plan a new attempt for a section that failed, for example after a failed pickup or delivery.
When the function runs, it does the following for every section that's linked to the irregularity as a cause:
- Creates a new order as a copy of the order of the section, with the loading and unloading dates and times you specify. The goods, carriers, and comments are copied with it. The original and the new order are linked to each other.
- Optionally sets a status on the original section.
- Optionally sets a status on the original order.
- Optionally updates the status of the irregularity.
The new order is added to the irregularity as a result.
The function stops with an error in the following cases:
- No section is linked to the irregularity.
- The order of the section was already copied.
Note
To create a new order for only the carriers that are linked to the irregularity, use Create retry order instead.
Set the order status
TMS compares the status of the sections of the original order with SEC CXL STATUS:
- When all sections have this status, the original order gets the status from ORD CXL STATUS.
- Otherwise, the original order gets the status from ORD P.CXL STATUS.
All status parameters are optional. When you leave a status parameter empty, the function skips that status update.
