What's App Business Integration

General

The What's App Business Integration offers functionality to generate and send What's App Messages directly from 3PL Dynamics. For example to inform drivers about the next trip to execute or to inform contacts about orders being delivered.

Note

The use of whats app is subject to the following conditions:

  • A company facebook account must be available
  • A Meta Developer Account must be created.
  • A specific mobile phonenumber must be dedicated available to be used as send from.
  • Drivers must have a mobile phone and the Whats App Business must be installed.
  • A flow must be created in Datahub.

Functional

To send a What's App message first a trip-report has to be created and saved on the trip, as this report will be enclosed in the message. By clicking on the step: TMS_TRIP_WHATSAPP the functionset: SEND_WHATS_APP_MESSAGE will check if a phonenumber has been registered on the driver and then creates a What's App message.

Settings

The following steps are applicable when setting up an What's App Busisness Integration in 3PL Dynamics.

Meta

Step 1. Create a Meta Developer Account

Create a Meta Developer Account. On youtube a video can be found with instructions. More detailed information can be found on: Developers Facebook

Step 2. Open Quickstart - Message Templates

When a What's App Business Account is created a message templates can be opened via Quickstart.

Step 3. Start a new Message Template

A new template can be started by clicking on: Create Template.

Step 4. Enter message text

Enter the text of the message in the body. Apply variables when data from 3PL Dynamics must be added.

Datahub

Datahub is handling the communication between 3PL Dynamics and the Meta-platform. A generic endpoint is available.

Note

For setting up a flow in the Datahub the following information must be available:

  • Endpoint What's App Business Platform App
  • Authentication information

3PL Dynamics

Step 1. Activate configuration from 3PL Market Place

By activating the 3PL Market Place App: TMS - What's App Business Integration the following configurations will be installed:

  • Device Task Configuration : META - WHATSAPP, contains settings on which Message Configuration and DI Message Type to trigger.
  • DI Message: SND-CONFIGURED-META, contains setting so Datahub can start the appropiate flow.
  • Message Configuration: META_CREATE_MESS_1.0, contains a enveloppe of the message to be processed by Meta - What's App Business.
  • Message Configuration: META_TRIP_MESS_1.0, contains the details of the message which relates to Meta - Message Template.
  • Step : TMS_TRIP_WHATSAPP, this step will automatically create a What's App Message and send it to the driver.

Step 2. Complete parameters on configuration

As some parameters vary on each customer-configuration the following parameters must be checked/completed.
