Department

General

When orders and activities from different business units are recorded in a single Business Central environment(Work company), the business units are usually recorded as departments.

Some examples of Departments:

• National and International
• Country A, Country B, etc.
• Distribution and Dedicated

Departments can be set/applied to the following documenttypes:

• Orders
• Trips
• Sections

Functionality

Actions

• New: Adds a new record above the selected Department.
• Edit List: Changes to edit-modus.
• Delete: Deletes the selected Department.
• Attributes: To add additonal Attributes to the selected Department.
• Plan Department: To define the Plan Departments applicable on the selected Department.
• Export Package: To create a JSON-file containing the selected Department(s).
  • Import Package: To import a JSON-file with Department-records.

Field

• Code: The unique code for the Department
• Name: The full name for the Department
• Has Attributes: Shows if the Department has Attributes
• Calculation Method: The Calculation Method set on the Department.
