Address
General
An address is a place where TMS activities are done like, Load, Unload, Start trip, End trip, Tunnel, Border etc.
The address page consists of a number of tab sheets. Depending on the personalization settings, not all tabs will be shown automatically to each user/role.

Functionality
Tab: General
Basic information like name, street, city.

Note
- Geo coding can be done automatically on a status transition with function: Geocode address without userinterface
- Address Management is required for an optimal functionality of TMS.
Tab: Time Slot
To register the opening times or time slots for the address. Times will be copied to the transport order automatically on new orders.
Note
When registering multiple lines per day the earliest time is used as Time-From. The latest time is used as Time-To.
Tab: Contacts
Register Contacts who have to be informed about actions via E-mail scenarios, for example, an ETA message.
Tab: Communication
Can be used to register general information on the address. It is advised to use the Tab: Contact.
Tab: Warehouse
Applicable to Warehousing functionality only.
Tab: Type
Select the type of address. More than one can be selected.
Note
The type Depot-address is required when the address is being used in the Section configuration to split orders in multiple sections and cross-docking can be performed.

Milk Run/Route Template Lines
Shows the Milk Run/Route Template lines this address is part of, so you can quickly see which milk run(s)/route(s) an address belongs to. This FastTab is hidden by default — use the Personalize function to show it.
Restrictions
By setting up and defining restrictions on an address, it can be defined whether specific conditions apply to an address. For example, a tail lift that is required or a type of vehicle that is forbidden. When restrictions are set on an address, it is necessary for the same restriction to be set on a resource. For example, that a trailer has a tail lift. In the current version of TMS there are no checks on address and resource restrictions when a trip is created.
Filter the address list by attributes, conditions, or comments
On the Address List page, you can search for addresses that have a specific attribute, condition, or comment recorded against them. This makes it easier to find and select addresses based on additional information recorded for the address, using the same filtering capabilities already available on the TMS order list.
Three actions are available for this, in the Data Mgt. group:
- Filter Attributes: searches the address's attribute set (via the Attribute Set action) for an attribute code and a value.
- Filter Conditions: searches the address's Conditions for a condition code and a value.
- Filter Comments: searches the comments recorded on the address (via the Comments action) for matching text.
Note
These actions are hidden by default. Use personalization to add Filter Attributes, Filter Conditions, and Filter Comments to the Address List page before you can use them.
To filter the address list:
- Open the Address List page.
- Choose Filter Attributes, Filter Conditions, or Filter Comments.
- For Filter Attributes and Filter Conditions, enter the code and the value to search for. Both fields are required. For Filter Comments, enter the comment text to search for.
- Optionally, narrow down the addresses to search by setting a filter (for example on
No.,Name,City, orCountry/Region Code) on the request page before you run it. - Confirm the number of addresses to process.
The value you enter only needs to match part of the recorded attribute value, condition value, or comment text. If no address matches, you see a message and the address list doesn't change. Otherwise, the Address List page reopens showing only the matching addresses.
